It has been a while since I have even had the time to read all of my subscriptions let alone write an entry. What is the cause of the prolonged absence? WORK!!! CRAZY WORK!!! I went from having none to having to present a deal in three days --normal prep time is at least a week; so I was on my grind in a major way. I did find time to watch the Steelers WIN the Super Bowl. I was very happy for Bettis and Cohwer, both Hall of Famers in my estimation.

What little life I can have outside the job, has picked up a bit also which I am happy about. I have been networking both professionally and personally , and with every new face I meet Charlotte becomes a more tolerable place. Forcing myself out of my comfort zone when it comes to dating and relationships, has allowed me not only to grow as a person but also learn more about the opposite sex and , at the same time, meet some wonderful young women. By no means am I a player Xanga, and truth be told I may cut my dating time short, but in the mean time I am enjoying life and can say I am truly happy with the way things are for me right now. Well I am off for the weekend Xanga, so I will holla.

As if I didnt read enough about his bullshit today...

White House to request billions for Iraq war, hurricane relief

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The White House has told Congress to expect requests for about $70 billion in additional funding for the ongoing budget year for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and $18 billion more for hurricane relief, a Senate GOP aide says.

The details of the requests are not finalized but President Bush's budget for 2007, to be submitted next week, will reflect the totals for planning purposes, said the aide, who spoke on condition of anonymity. Another $2.3 billion to combat avian flu is also expected.

The funding for Iraq is in addition to $50 billion approved in December and should be enough to conduct the war through September 30, the end of the fiscal year.

Bush is also expected to set aside $50 billion in the 2007 budget for the war effort, though such funds won't be enough for to fund the war for the entire year.

Hypocracy, Irony or Stupidity--you be the judge.

I was watching the news hearing the highlights of the state of union address and I heard this sound bite "Tonight I announce the American Competitiveness Initiative, to encourage innovation throughout our economy, and to give our nation's children a firm grounding in math and science" The village idiot then goes on to say "I propose to double the federal commitment to the most critical basic research programs in the physical sciences over the next 10 years. This funding will support the work of America's most creative minds as they explore promising areas such as nanotechnology, supercomputing, and alternative energy sources." and "Tonight I propose to train 70,000 high school teachers, to lead advanced-placement courses in math and science, bring 30,000 math and science professionals to teach in classrooms, and give early help to students who struggle with math, so they have a better chance at good, high-wage jobs. " Now generally this would be a none issue and in fact could be seen as a positive but just when you think you got all the answers this muthafucka got the nerve to change questions.
This sombitch( I know thats the south rubbing off on me) and his other 216 homies in the House got the nerve to cut $29 BILLION DOLLARS in education including loans that help people become those high school teachers and those reasearch scientists. I mean before the situation in Colorado he was never one of my favorite players. But to quote my man Riley Freeman "Game recognize game". With three rings , the youngest player to ever drop 20,000 points and the second highest single game scoring total let it be known by the time it is all said in done Lebron James might be chasing No. 8 and not No. 23.

Greetings Xanga, I hope all is going well with you. I wish I had the time to get out all my thoughts out but I will get this one out I LOVE ATLANTA!!! I went down there for the long weekend and I had a great time helping my friend celebrate his birthday. Perhaps all I will go into further details but I must say ATL comes right after NYC in my mind.

Wednesday, January 11, 2006

WHATS WRONG WITH THE WORLD PEOPLE!!!!

My exclamation is not one of social outrage but something that is far more fundementally simplistic. My concern is literally with the world itself. It 65 degrees down here, 45 degrees in Brooklyn and it is January...JANUARY!!! Now I am by no means an environmental activist--truth be told my recycling has gone out the window since I have been down here. HOWEVER, I am a movie lover and "The Day After Tomorrow" scared the shit out of me. People talk about the idea of having no winter like it is the greatest thing on earth yet they fail to realize that everything happens for a reason. With the praise of warm winters come summers like we experienced in 2005 with record numbers in hurricanes; more specifically class 5 hurricanes like Hurricane Katrina.

I took global warming for my science requirement in college because, quite frankly, I suck at science and geology as a freshman is easy. Suprisingly, a lot of things I learned in that class stuck with me. My professor once said " Global temperature change works like a pendulum when it swings one way its gonna swing back the opposite way in equal fashion". If this winter is any evidence of which way the pendulum is swinging be prepared for one real special summer in 2006.
