Hypocracy, Irony or Stupidity--you be the judge.

I was watching the news hearing the highlights of the state of union address and I heard this sound bite "Tonight I announce the American Competitiveness Initiative, to encourage innovation throughout our economy, and to give our nation's children a firm grounding in math and science"  The village idiot then goes on to say "I propose to double the federal commitment to the most critical basic research programs in the physical sciences over the next 10 years. This funding will support the work of America's most creative minds as they explore promising areas such as nanotechnology, supercomputing, and alternative energy sources." and "Tonight I propose to train 70,000 high school teachers, to lead advanced-placement courses in math and science, bring 30,000 math and science professionals to teach in classrooms, and give early help to students who struggle with math, so they have a better chance at good, high-wage jobs. "     Now generally this would be a none issue and in fact could be seen as a positive but just when you think you got all the answers this muthafucka got the nerve to change questions. What I mean by this...I mean acting in a way that completely undercuts all the initiatives stated above :

This sombitch( I know thats the south rubbing off on me) and his other 216 homies in the House got the nerve to cut $29 BILLION DOLLARS in education including loans that help people become those high school teachers and those reasearch scientists. Maybe I am wrong, maybe I am overacting because two very cool people I know couldnt make it back to BC cause they didnt get enough aid. But I ask you Xanga , isnt it ironic, dont you think?

What ever happened to "No Child Left Behind?" Not only are the children being left behind, but so is everyone else. My grandparents are on medicare. My  grandfather is being left behind. I am on my left semester (Thank God) of sparce financial aid and the people behind me will have an even harder time funding education. $4.9 billion is being cut from the child support, welfare budget. The poor just got even poorer. The worst part about this news is the number of people who have/will hear it and not be surprised or anymore outraged than usual because we as a nation continue to hear things like this.
