WHATS REALLY GOOD XANGA?! It has been a while since I have even had the time to read all of my subscriptions let alone write an entry. What is the cause of the prolonged absence? WORK!!! CRAZY WORK!!! I went from having none to having to present a deal in three days --normal prep time is at least a week; so I was on my grind in a major way. I did find time to watch the Steelers WIN the Super Bowl. I was very happy for Bettis and Cohwer, both Hall of Famers in my estimation.
What little life I can have outside the job, has picked up a bit also which I am happy about. I have been networking both professionally and personally , and with every new face I meet Charlotte becomes a more tolerable place. Forcing myself out of my comfort zone when it comes to dating and relationships, has allowed me not only to grow as a person but also learn more about the opposite sex and , at the same time, meet some wonderful young women. By no means am I a player Xanga, and truth be told I may cut my dating time short, but in the mean time I am enjoying life and can say I am truly happy with the way things are for me right now. Well I am off for the weekend Xanga, so I will holla.
White House to request billions for Iraq war, hurricane relief

The details of the requests are not finalized but President Bush's budget for 2007, to be submitted next week, will reflect the totals for planning purposes, said the aide, who spoke on condition of anonymity. Another $2.3 billion to combat avian flu is also expected.
The funding for Iraq is in addition to $50 billion approved in December and should be enough to conduct the war through September 30, the end of the fiscal year.
Bush is also expected to set aside $50 billion in the 2007 budget for the war effort, though such funds won't be enough for to fund the war for the entire year.
I was watching the news hearing the highlights of the state of union address and I heard this sound bite "Tonight I announce the American Competitiveness Initiative, to encourage innovation throughout our economy, and to give our nation's children a firm grounding in math and science" The village idiot then goes on to say "I propose to double the federal commitment to the most critical basic research programs in the physical sciences over the next 10 years. This funding will support the work of America's most creative minds as they explore promising areas such as nanotechnology, supercomputing, and alternative energy sources." and "Tonight I propose to train 70,000 high school teachers, to lead advanced-placement courses in math and science, bring 30,000 math and science professionals to teach in classrooms, and give early help to students who struggle with math, so they have a better chance at good, high-wage jobs. " Now generally this would be a none issue and in fact could be seen as a positive but just when you think you got all the answers this muthafucka got the nerve to change questions. What I mean by this...I mean acting in a way that completely undercuts all the initiatives stated above :
This sombitch( I know thats the south rubbing off on me) and his other 216 homies in the House got the nerve to cut $29 BILLION DOLLARS in education including loans that help people become those high school teachers and those reasearch scientists. Maybe I am wrong, maybe I am overacting because two very cool people I know couldnt make it back to BC cause they didnt get enough aid. But I ask you Xanga , isnt it ironic, dont you think?

A WALL STREET JOURNAL ONLINE NEWS ROUNDUP

CBS Corp. and Time Warner Inc.'s Warner Bros. Entertainment announced plans to shut down the UPN and WB networks and form a new broadcast network, The CW, to be launched in the fall of 2006.
The companies said the new broadcasting network will be a joint venture between Warner Bros. Entertainment and CBS, with each company owning 50%.
The companies said that CBS and Warner Bros. Entertainment will cease operations of their respective UPN and WB networks. The companies said WB and UPN networks will continue to broadcast their respective network schedules independently until the fall.
The companies also announced that Tribune Broadcasting and CBS's UPN affiliates have agreed separately to sign 10-year affiliation agreements with the new network.
I dont particularly like Kobe Bryant. I mean before the situation in Colorado he was never one of my favorite players. But to quote my man Riley Freeman "Game recognize game". With three rings , the youngest player to ever drop 20,000 points and the second highest single game scoring total let it be known by the time it is all said in done Lebron James might be chasing No. 8 and not No. 23.
